A group of companies is actively making preparations for the Healthy Urban Living Research Program under leadership of Oy LM Ericsson Ab. Three SHOK companies – Cleen, RYM and Digile – are boosting and supporting the preparatory work for which Professor Miimu Airaksinen of VTT provides the research input.
– The preparatory group still accepts new members. The goals of the program are to speed up the market entry of services and products aimed at promoting healthy urban living as well as to strengthen the necessary skills. The program provides a genuine and versatile platform for integrating construction, maintenance, digitalization and environmental aspects, says Anssi Salonen, Director of Research at Rym Oy.
Representatives of companies interested in the program preparations are welcome to the workshop scheduled for Nov. 7, 2014 where areas of responsibility will be assigned and the draft program to be completed in October will be discussed. The research program proper should be ready in early 2015 in time to apply for Tekes funding earmarked for SHOK companies. The program could possibly start in the fall of 2015.
