Nordic Built Charter and Challenge
– Nordic dynamics for driving sustainable construction
The real estate and construction sector companies operating in the Nordic Countries are tightening cooperation to advance sustainable construction. The goals have been recorded in the Nordic Built Charter with tens of signatories in the Nordic Countries. The project is part of a new cooperation program for innovation and industrial policy signed by the Nordic Ministers of Economic Affairs in October 2011.
The implementation of the Nordic Built program is Finland is supported jointly by the strategic competence cluster for the built environment, RYM Oy, and Green Building Council Finland. Both are encouraging their shareholders, members and partners to take up the Nordic Built cooperation challenge.
The Nordic Built Challenge competition will be held in connection with the Nordic Built program which challenges innovative actors to compete in the sustainable refurbishment of five buildings, one from each Nordic Country. The “Hippostalo” Government Office Building in the City of Tampere is the Finnish subject.
